Body length: 3.5–4.5 cm
Body weight: 4-7 g, drops even to 3 g in spring
Size: optically it is the size of a walnut
Wingspan: 20–25 cm
Colour: light brown fur on the back and lighter white on the stomach, soft with long hair. Young organisms in their first year of life are easily recognisable – they are single-colour and dark gray.
Life expectancy: It is estimated that horseshoe bats live in the wild from several to a dozen or so years, but it is known based on girdling that the age of some individuals can exceed 30 years.
